What is refinancing your home loan about? Some will tell you it’s about getting a lower rate or saving money. That is sometimes true, but that hardly scratches the surface.
Refinancing is really about change. What in your life or world has changed? Sometimes the only thing that is different is that the rate of you currently have isn’t a “good rate” anymore, but it may be other things. When refinancing you should review how your situation is different than when you took out your last loan and seeing if there’s a better loan for you.
Shopping for a refinance should be more like seeing the doctor for a check-up. Sometimes things are fine the way they are and sometimes you should make adjustments.
As funny as it sounds, I actually get excited to tell clients that the loan they have still best suits their goals. It gives me a rare opportunity to let clients know that I will always take their best interest in mind.
